As the first month of 2026 draws to a close, we hope you all had a refreshing break over the festive season and are looking forward to lots of Race Series and Club events this year.

The BMW //M Performance Parts race series prepares to kick off the season at Zwartkops Raceway this weekend. With about 70 cars set to line up on the grid, it looks to be a spectacular start to the latest evolution of the series, with the Turbo and Naturally Aspirated cars split into two categories. The BMW Car Club Gauteng got their 2026 social event calendar of to a great start last weekend when 15 teams of five drivers took to the Eastgate Indy Kart Circuit for a two-hour endurance race. You can catch a full report in February's Club TV Show. The event proved to be so popular that plans are at an advanced stage to run another event, probably in July. As soon as dates are confirmed, we will let you know.

The first BMW CCG Autocross Waterless Skidpan Challenge of 2026 is happening at BMW xDrive Park in Midrand on 7 February. You can enter on the Club Website.

Two weeks after that, on Sunday, 22 February, the first XPEL South Africa BMW Car Club Gauteng Track Day of the year takes place at Zwartkops Raceway. The event is open to all drivers, so if you want to test your driving skills in a safe environment, enter here.
